I'd imagine any of those types of covers wouldn't add a lot of security to the ring itself, I'd say get longer screws and loads of glue when installing it would be as good as a cover like that.

Something like this might give the illusion of every security, if you knew someone with a 3D printer they might be able to knock 1 up for you I'd imagine.

There's this cover that uses a padlock:

The one in your photo uses regular flat-head screws, which wouldn't be difficult to remove. You'd get a bit more security out of using security screws - either ones with a propitiatory or unusual head, or ones designed to be installed but not removed.

I mean, any of these solutions wouldn't guard against someone with a nail bar prying the whole thing off the wall, but they'd probably be enough to stop an opportunistic thief.

In any case, Ring will replace stolen doorbells free of charge:

Yes agreed the screws would need to be changed alright.
It has the ring logo on it, but can`t find it anywhere under ring product website, but would be great to have a little bit of steel instead of plastic to hide it behind. I did see that other case you mentioned but again thats just another load of plastic. A good size 10 would have that off the wall in a few seconds.

With regards to stolen doorbells, isn`t that only for the first year and they will only replace the first one.

    But thanks guys

You're right, it is just one replacement, but it's not limited to one year, they say "any time after your purchase":

And as for the metal case in your OP, I had a good search around (as I'm sure you did), and can't find it mentioned anywhere. Strange, given that it's Ring branded, as you say.
