I never bought into the arguments around the advantages Dublin have around facilities, semi-pro players, sponsorship, pool of players to choose from etc. At the end of the day they can only field 15 players.

However, one clear advantage Dublin have always wrongly had and that is home advantage for the all ireland final!

"Oh but Croke Park is the only venue that can meet the crowd capacity"

Not this year my Dublin Pals! No crowd therefore no excuses.

This year's all Ireland finals should be played on the stunning Páirc Uí Chaoimh pitch (or similar quality neutral venue).

    No Hawkeye in PUC.

Finals have to have it, and you can be sure if a player is going to win an AI, they want to do it in Croke Park.

It’s a bit far for Cavan to travel in fairness.

No hawkeye is a pretty pathetic excuse. No reason why they can't install it. Plenty of time yet.

I'm sure Dublin would equally like to prove that they can win an all ireland final in any venue (despite the well known fact that they don't play as well down the bog)

    Mod Warning

Closing this thread as it's just another variant of the threads discussing the Dublin GAA advantage question.
