Chinese film directed by Simon West

'Jason Isaacs' builds a 'hotel on a volcano' attraction. The inevitable happens.

entertaining interview with Isaacs on Kermode and Mayo where Isaacs tries to sell the film and Mayo having seen it can't take it seriously

Do Chinese productions have a certain look about them or something? Without seeing any of the obvious bits that it's Chinese (credits, cast) you can just tell. Is it the CGI or the colour palette?

This looks like it'll sit alongside When Time Ran Out perfectly.

I saw that! :D One review upon release (Starburst) quipped that the optical effects for the final explosion were so jerky it looked as if the volcano was trying to edge off-screen out of embarrassment.
