Move off a tracker?

    Hi,

    As crazy as that sounds, yes, you read that right.

    €156k left
    Tracker: ECB & 1% (1% addition as we moved house)= 2.68%
    184 months (15.3 years)
    €1,041 pm.
    LTV is under 50%

    Avant offering 1.95% fixed for 5 or 7 years, follow on rate is 2.5%
    1.95% would be about €1000 pm, so saving saving almost €3.5 over 7 years.
    If we could get another 7 year fixed or variable after that close to 2.68 it'd be a good idea to switch now. I guess the big question is what will the rates be like in 7 years.

    Any thoughts please?
