SIRO and Unifi Security Gateway

Cross-post from the broadband forum as no response there

    Hoping someone can help.
At present, we have two broadband providers (VM got their notice and we just got SIRO installed).
    Equipment:
Ubiquiti UniFi Cloud Key Gen2 Plus
Ubiquiti Networks Unifi Security Gateway Router
    Ubiquiti US-16-150W 150 W 16 Port UniFi PoE Switch
Ubiquiti UniFi nanoHD Access Point (UAP-NanoHD)

At present, VM Hub is set on bridge mode and the same is connected with the switch to the USG and everything works well.

On installation of Digiweb SIRO, we tried with the provider's tech support (phone support) to connect the Fritz box via one of the ethernet switches in the rooms close to SIRO installation with the switch and then with the USG but that didn't work. At this point they made changes from their end to allow for modem mode of Fritz. It didn't work.
Then we proceeded to edit the WAN Network settings in the USG interface by doing the following:
Under Edit WAN Network of the USG router in IPv4 we changed the connection from DHCPv4 to PPPoE and then entered the username and pass as provided by the provider. We double checked the same before we proceeded to the next step.
Also VLAN was changed to 10.
No changes to DNS server or IPv6.
This didn't work though so we had to revert to VM (TG we still have service) and we'll explore additional options.
My knowledge of networks is extremely limited TBH.

Any idea what we may have done differently or any other way how to get SIRO working but under the management of Unifi
