Hi, im contemplating remapping my 2010 merc e220 cdi.

im reading that if i drive the car under normal conditions ie no faster then normal, i will see no change in mpg consumption is this true?

also im looking for a recomendation for someone in dublin that uses a rolling road, somewhere reputable. any advise is appreciated thanks!

If you are concerned about fuel economy a remap is probably not the best idea. I’ve had a number of cars mapped and they are always more thirsty.
As for recommendations Stone Motorsports in Monerestevin are very reputable.

+1 for Joe Power in Stone Motorsport. Got Joe to remap a good few of my cars over the years and never had issues with any of them. Worth the trip down imo.

I had a car remapped by Tipperary Tinting in Thurles a while back. Top quality service to be fair. They are a dealer for Viezu Technologies. You can choose either a performance or economy map.
You can lookup your car below.

That’s an off the shelf map though? No rolling road etc?

Yeah it is an off the shelf map. I understand the limitations of not having a dyno with not knowing exact power gain. However I was quite pleased with my remap and I chose them because of lots of recommendations from friends.

Probably not suitable though for serious tuners.

No longer TDR performance is he ?

TDR is his own original setup afaik but he is involved with Stone Motorsport for a while now. They have a fairly impressive setup there in Monerestevin and are big in the motor sport scene. You should check out the Stone Motorsport on facebook.

Ah I see. Very hard to get in contact with him I've found but I assume it's cos he's flat out. Still looking to get mine done now that the swirl flaps are removed so I'll try get onto him again.
