Huge amount of "white space" per page

The amount of white space on these pages is ridiculous; actual word count per page is tiny. You're probably completely at the mercy of the CMS in which case consider this a +1 to migrate away. I understand this would be a very big effort. The (great) community here will evolve and am afraid this abusive UX will eventually kill the site.

Meantime, are there any workarounds? I see people mention a mobile version /app?

If you are browsing on a mobile device, we recommend using http://touch.boards.ie.

Are you currently using the desktop site?

Yes, am using desktop site. Thanks for the link, I was hoping a mobile friendly "style" might strip away some of the extraneous formatting but unfortunately it doesn't. Not to worry, just consider as +1 for CMS upgrade when the time is right.

Rich Text Editor. To edit a paragraph's style, hit tab to get to the paragraph menu. From there you will be able to pick one style. Nothing defaults to paragraph. An inline formatting menu will show up when you select text. Hit tab to get into that menu. Some elements, such as rich link embeds, images, loading indicators, and error messages may get inserted into the editor. You may navigate to these using the arrow keys inside of the editor and delete them with the delete or backspace key.
