MHRV Ducting choices

    Hi

Just a quick one on MHRV ducting: just wondering what type to choose semi rigid radial plastic or rigid metal spiral ducting?

Plumber is pushing for the plastic ones: which are way easier to install

I've seen it mentioned that the lifespan of plastic ducting is far less than the galvanized metal ones.

I've dropped the ceilings upstairs already which may impact using the metal spiral ducting there.

    Any input greatly appreciated

How many stories does the house have?
    Open web joists?

    Hi Gumbo

2 story house, forgot to mention warm flat roof on entire structure; void of approx 300mm between dropped ceiling joists and roof joists on first floor.

Ground floor has solid core slab.

    Total building m2 is 390.

Probably require at least 300m of ducting.

    Thanks
