    Hi everyone,

would like to bring up the topic of ukcarimports ie company quality of service.

Based on the number of relatively good positive reviews on Google, the company looks ok for anyone who wants to use their service. The important bit is negative reviews and after going through the process by myself I tend to agree with the majority of them. Going their route you get your car at the end of the day and, hopefully, all the documentation for it. The company owner Richard Smith doesn't seem to respect his customers nor their money.

Just to make it more clear

    1. He changed the final invoice price overnight. He could refund minus the inspection fee. He suggested to burn 300 euros of inspection fee because of his fault and I had to pay for his mistake.
    2. He sent an email saying "go and collect your car from Dublin port and use the reference number in the email title". There was no reference number at all and if I wouldn't ask for it, I'd travel to the port and fail to collect the car.
    3. The mechanical report was a joke for 300 euros. It is only "for your information". Ok, no problem. The issue was the car was not inspected well enough and "in working condition" appears to be "broken". On the official website, owners say "We guarantee the details will be as described on the condition and mechanical reports when the vehicle is delivered." - see ukcarimports ie faq (step 2)

Richard, probably, a good guy. But he behaves unprofessionally (rude?). If you're not happy with anything he will reply to you like this:

"I would say to you if you want a car that is new that you save harder or perhaps get a better job so you can afford a new car"

So he does not care about the car price of 23k euro. It is hard to believe he cares about something cheaper than this.

Also, worth to mention his total ignorance on certain questions in your emails.

I wouldn't come to this forum unless the last email he sent saying he is not surprised things are broken for a car of 80k miles and he doesn't care about mechanical report "information" because it does not promise to note issues of minor nature. So everything, not captured in the report is "minor" (for example, broken vent so airflow can not be adjusted)

What is your experience working with the company?
