Inheritance issue

My grandfather died 10 years ago and left my dad and his two brothers a house.

My dad needs the house sold to pay for medical bills.

The eldest (Brother A) is the executer of the will. He said he wants nothing to do with the house and says to talk to the other brother. The other brother (Brother B) refused to accept any money for the house or will sell it.

My dad wants to sign the house over to me so I can deal with it as it's caused him nothing but stress.

The house has been left derelict since she died and Brother B keeps his dogs in it.

What are my options here? Thanks in advance.

If he signs the house over to you, where will he get the money to pay his medical bills?

My aim is to sell the house and use the money to pay any medical bills. My father says he has no fight left in him because there’s no talking to his brothers.

My father has left his share of the property to me in his will so said I may as well have it now if I want to try sort it out.

In my opinion your father can sell/transfer/bequeath his share in the property to you.
You then have the (more favourable option) of getting one or both of the brothers to buy your share. If you cannot maintain your property rights by agreement there is scope for legal action to obtain a court order to force a sale and get your entitlement. This will not be cheap. The only positive is that the other two owners will incur expense trying to justify to the court why an order would not be given.
As it is not a house where a family is residing they would be on weak ground and their legal advisors would advise them accordingly. In any case you would seem to have one of the uncles on your side. He wont incur any expense as he willnot object. The other uncle can object but there is a constitutional right to property.

Where is the house? A derelict house won't be worth much unless it's in a city and if it is a 1/3 share of a derelict house might not be much.

The o/p can force the sale of the entire, if he has a 1/3 interest. It would be more
tax efficient to structure things differently.

It’s in a city centre. 5 mins walk from a train station. My father wanted to buy it outright and do it up and move in but Brother B said no because it was worth 100k more than what my father was offering.

The story keeps changing and changing.

Does it? What does the latest post contradict?

How is it changing? My dad offered money to buy the house a few years ago. They said no. Now he wants the house sold and they said no to that too.

Edit: I said it in my op that the brother wouldn’t accept any money so not sure why you think I’m changing this?
