Japan import drift cars - back in the day

Back in the day the country was flooded with the likes of Silvia's, Skylines, Chasers, 180sx etc. Don't see many on the road now so thought it might be an idea to start a thread for some nostalgia.

Not for videos of doing the ape on the roads, just pictures of your old s-body etc.

I'll start with one of my S14 Zenki (rear wheels were off to be cleaned)

I was too young back in the day to take part in the Jap import boom we had. I'd like to think I'm making up for it now.

    My 180sx and R32 Skyline.

The s15 I won during the first lockdown. Still bitter that my insurer wouldn’t swap cover onto it and ended up selling it :(

That's a beauty, shame about the insurance. I remember back when there were so many s bodies on the road Liberty used to allow you insure any car and drive any other car third party once it wasn't in your name. I used to insure a 1L mazda 121 for around €400 and drive my r32 then.

    Some of my s15

And a few from a drift day, even as a Spec S it had no trouble, but went turbo after that day

They still do. I'm with Liberty and have 3rd party extension, although it is a bit restrictive, as the car you don't own still needs to be insured by the person that owns it :)
