I think this is a gimmic they are rolling out, have seen it in a few dealers.

Wouldn't be bothered with it personally. It's not snake oil but it's not far off it. How much is it meant to be?

It’s not much extra €25 on top of service price they just mentioned it when I was booking in as an option to add on just wanted to see if anyone knew if it actually made any difference or if it is just a gimmic to sell you something extra I’m always very weary of mechanics anyway being a woman I feel they try sell you anything extra they can because of course I wouldn’t have a clue what they were talking about anyway

Not worth the extra 25 yoyos.
You can buy a bottle yourself at any filling station for less and just dump in.

There is a risk that it can unsettle some gunk in the fuel lines and clog up the fuel filter, this is probably why it’s worth doing during a service especially if the fuel filter is being replaced anyway

I used to work in a dealership in Western Australia and reps from a company selling this type of product and others convinced the service manager to start flogging them with services as an upsell. There was an air conditioning de odourising smog machine, a throttle body clean, fuel injector clean and the best of all was an ac oil top up! The service advisors got commission for each and some went at it hard. There was one advisor an Indian chap who would sell his mother if he could. The man had no soul, would upsell every service and made an absolute fortune commission wise.

I have heard this but never seen any actual evidence. The point of the fuel cleaner is to remove carbon etc but I have not seen any evidence it has harmed a car.

Thank you I think I’ll leave it with just the regular service watching the video above it doesn’t appear to actually do anything anyway thank you for your help
