Advice on 2015 VW Golf

Just wanted to get people's opinions on the below car if possible.

151 VW Golf 1.2 TSI with extremely low mileage (11,000km). It's a Trendline so very basic spec. Ideally, I would prefer a Comfortline or Highline, and something slightly more powerful, but considering the low mileage, age of the car and owner history, do you think it represents good value? I do mainly low mileage city driving so a petrol is preferable also.

    Thanks

The price is ok for what it is.

That being said, aside from the really low mileage it has no other redeeming features at all and for that reason i'd probably avoid.

With €14k ish to spend on a petrol Golf, you'd pick up something much nicer with a still relatively low mileage.

What’s more comical is that a Golf Trendline 1.2 TSI was €21,000 list price at the time and they were giving an extra €1500 off on top of whatever straight deal discount you’d get so that car has effectively lost €4500-€5500 over the last 5 nearly 6 years.

    No thanks.

The really sad thing is that it will probably sell for close to that money too.

    Trendlines are nasty....

Seems a general consensus to avoid there so! Was leaning that way myself also. Will see if any decent value Comfortlines or Highlines are on offer

This is a 3dr which is probably a deal breaker but is a nicer car in every other respect.

Other than that i'm surprised how difficult it is to find a 13-15 Mk7 Golf petrol that isn't either Trendline, Automatic or Japanese import or a combination of all 3.

The mk 5, 6 and 7 golfs are beautiful cars. The 8 just doesn't do it for me and I've heard it from others too. I reckon that will cause the older models to hold their value for longer.

Plus there's physical dials and buttons for the ac as opposed to the mandatory touch screen menus on the 8.

Without alloys it really does resemble poverty spec, I'd seek an alternative.

Someone looking for €13.5k and willing to take enough time out of their day to take a total of 4 pictures would make me run a mile.

That 3dr does look nice and a great spec/decent mileage. Preference would be for a 5dr due to better practicality but wouldn't rule it out.

Definitely open to automatics as well, doesn't necessarily have to be a manual. There's surprising few MK7 petrols on offer as you said. Will keep looking though thanks.

Have a look at the seat Leon too.
