    Hi all,

    Anyone on here from Mitchelstown?

I was cleaning out the attic over the weekend and found a picture from 1946 of a girl making her confirmation. I can't throw it out. So i am chancing finding the family.
It is a beutiful picture in perfect condition as it was protected in a cover.

There is written note inside the sleeve that the girl is O'Sullivan (Married to become Roche) and although I can't read it exactly right, the first name is broadly visible to me and I will confirm that if I find the family to whom she belonged.
The address I can make out looks like 4th street, or 44th street or even 4 Lower Cork Street.
    Mitchelstown.
    Co Cork

    Anyone able to help me?

    Thanks

Its probably Lower Cork St, Mitchelstown. I reckon your first approach should be via the Catholic Church records. O Sullivan would be a popular local surname, confirmation age is 9 to 11, just after the war so a good chance girl is local and baptised locally. I would be confident that she is a member of a local family so Church and National School records would assist
