Moving sky router

Hi,

Friend of mine has a sky router with purple cable connected to phone line (I think) in the hallway. He wants to move the router to another location in the house. There are other phone sockets in the house but connecting to these doesn't work. I opened the socket in the hallway and there is a white and blue or black cable connected inside, it's different than the normal phone sockets. Is there some kind of adapter available to plug in any phone sockets so I can move his router?
