Self-employed - when do I tell them about change of means

Does anyone know when to notify social welfare about change of means when you're self-employed?

I'm on carer's allowance working from home and my 2020 earnings have gone over the limit. I don't know exactly by how much because (a) 2020 isn't over and (b) I don't normally do my accounts until around tax return time, so I don't have an exact figure.

So should I tell them about a change in means:

    1. Right now?
    2. In January, with an approximate figure for 2020 earning?
    3. Hold tough until I submit my tax return next autumn?
