Aftermarket alloys - Audi

    Hi
Does anyone have experience with after-market alloys for an Audi?

A friend has advised me to stay well away from the non-genuine stuff. Problem is, the genuine ones (new or second hand) are hard to find.
Are the spurious alloys really that bad?

Looking to pick up a set of Audi rs6 style alloys

Replicas tend to be heavier and less strong than originals.
Often there’s no clue as to where they came from and whether they meet any sort of standards.

Get genuine S Line ones instead as RS6 style wheels on anything other than a RS6 just look daft.

Utter dirt..... Majority you see second hand for sale already have a few welds on them.

As above, Second hand genuine S-Line is the way to go.

    I happen to have a set of 18" A6 S-Line for sale. ;)

Thanks for the info. Do you have a link/pics to the alloys your selling?

Yes replicas can be unknown but there are some perfectly good replicas and some muck.
Id be happy with anything TUV certified as this should help to sidestep the real rubbish.

Virtually all the replica wheels you'll see here are made in China, and they're generally all pretty crappy quality. They'll be fine for scooting around on decent roads and will look the part, but a pothole might present them with issues - like cracking or buckling. The manufacturers of these wheels will print absolutely anything on the box - so its hard to trust what you're getting - you'll see German sounding brand names on there to make them sound more European for example.

I have a friend who sells aa lot of wheels (including the Chinese stuff) - he reckons the replica wheels made in Italy are usually of very good quality.

So the alloys I am actually trying to source are the one seen below; Not sure what their official name is other than “Audi A6/RS6 Twin spoke alloys”

Any ideas where one would pick these up. Not seeing anything Online

Hey, thanks for that link. Elite wheels seem to have very similar wheels although they are listed as Audi Q5. Are they the same thing?

I can't say for sure, but here's another one (for RS6) which looks pretty similar to what you're looking for:

There are hundreds of sets of genuine Audi wheels on eBay uk and de. Find out the part number of those wheels and search by that for genuine ones.

I have them on my own Car as they came standard, time to move it on I'd say when you see lads wanting them on their Whassats!

Just saw a post on Facebook from Pro-Parts in Coolmine - looks like they have the wheels you’re after in stock and ready to go

Keep an eye on DoneDeal & Adverts every day, they do come up but tend to go quick.

I bought a set of them (20” Audi RS6 Alloys) a few months ago. Seller put them on Adverts at 9am, I got in contact immediately and was with them within two hours - 5 other people were trying to contact the seller in that two hour frame.
