Boundary wall distance from road

Hello, I wonder if anyone can help. I am looking to build a very low wall (2 blocks) to close off our fron yard which is at a cross between two local roads in a rural area. I was wondering if there was any rules or regulations in terms of how far the wall should be from the edge of the road. Thanks in advance.
