Lights dimming

    Recently when driving my 2003 focus the lights were dimming and brightening. The alternator failed a few months back and was changed with one from a scrap yard.

    The lights dimming and brightening only happened once and has not happened again since nor have I any symptoms.
    Any idea what could have cause this?
    I have run the car with lights, heating etc going full blast and no issues

    Battery is around 2 years old

    Could be battery not getting enough charge from doing short journeys, can even cause problems with a brand new battery.
