    This is a long clip, but in the context of the above, may be relevant. And there are some random claims, but I like his debunk of the risks of sprinklers going off, and references to die hard..

    We are seeing a lot of residential developments getting sprinklers now in Dublin.
    I’d say they could become the norm in the next 10 years.

    Nothing in the typical housing estate just yet. But we did insist on local suppression systems in some 4 storey dwellings. These dwellings usually require an additional staircase but compensation measures were implemented.

    So yes, all apartment blocks. Mainly open plan BS9999 stuff.

    Seen that video ages ago. Worked very effectively. You’d have Ansul systems over commercial cookers. Seen a video recently Chinese firemen using drones connected to water hoses fighting a fire on a mock building.
