Setting Dromone hitch

Anyone know how to correctly set the lift rods correctly on a Dromone hitch?

Bought tractor few months back & noticed hitch wouldn't latch with weight on. The lift rods were seized as it was just a yard tractor previously so took them off & greased & oil them up to free them out. But now when I put them back I ended up shearing one of the drop arm pins. I set the lift arms up fully & then set the lift rods based on that position.

Place a jack under the hitch and take the weight off the latches.

    Lift the lift fully.

The lift rods should be adjusted so they are just fitting at this point.

    Hope this makes sense

Thanks. That's what I did but the lift must have move a bit or something as i sheared the pin when I went to try the hitch. I'll get another pin & try again.

Hitch not locking I would first check to make sure all the bolts are tight. The bolts holding the hitch to the tractor. Good practice to check them anyway but I always know they're loose when the hitch doesn't lock or open easily.
