Respraying upvc windows?

I have just discovered you can paint pvc windows. We're renovating and were planning to replace windows, mainly to upgrade to triple glaze and to a lesser degree because we hate the colour.
Has anyone experience of this and how did it work out? Would it be any less expensive to replace glass only and respray the frames as opposed to full replacement?

Are the coloured frames worth it or do they fade? We were thinking of something more modern than the current dark brown.

Will the existing frames take treble glazed?

you can't replace the glass its a sealed unit

Okay. You hear all these ads about just replacing the glass, not the frames. That makes it clearer.

You can replace the glazing unit - i.e. the double glazed glass panel as one.

As tripple glazing unit is typically wider than double, it might not be possible to fit tripple glazing into existing frame but you can certainly upgrade the double glazing unit to a better one energy wise.

I wouldnt be in favour of painting frames unless whole unit was stripped of glass, hinges and seals first.

Best to find out before you pick a route to go.
