Hey guys, just wondering who here is interested in or planning to get the iPhone 12 mini? It’s out today and my preorder has shipped so I’m looking forward to using it as a replacement for my original iPhone SE.

It is in my cart as we speak. I just need to hold it once before I pull the trigger. Size is between a 5s and the 6 and I am not sure if I can get to all parts of the screen with my thumb.

definitely intrigued by this. I would have big-ish hands and find new phones a pain to hold (I have Xr). Rounded sides also very slippy.

Even with the battery, I'd say I'll go for it.

Received mine yesterday and after a days use my initial impressions are very good. The mini is definitively a big change for me coming from a SE, I think the days of using phones with one hand are more or less numbered, but asides from that I love it so much. The battery life is very good after a moderate days use and taking photos and videos and the odd game. And the screen is plenty big, I don’t know how people manage with the regular size and the max, I prefer my phones to be compact and easily pocketable thank you very much. :pac:

    Hi All

Just wondering whats the best alternative site for accessories? I need a 12 Mini case and glass protector. Is the wireless charging adaptor from Apple worth it? Anyone any experience with it?

I bought these tempered glass protectors (set of 4) from Amazon for £5.99:

Yootech Screen Protector Compatible with iPhone 12 Mini 2020,[4 Pack] Tempered Glass Screen Protector [Anti-Scratch][Bubble Free][Case-friendly],5.4-Inch https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B08JCV7PJ3/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_fabt1_s0PSFbS4EN6CC?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1

And this clear case for £12.99:

TORRAS Crystal Clear Case Compatible with iPhone 12 Mini, Anti-Yellowing Thin Slim Soft TPU Silicone Shockproof Phone Cover- Pure Clear https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B08DKSZPRH/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_fabt1_i3PSFbR9HZ8HQ

Both are very thin but offer a good degree of protection.

    Reviving an old thread.

What's everyone's long term opinions on the Mini?

I don’t have mine long term - just two months or so. But it’s a great phone. Size is perfect for me. It takes super photos. And the battery life is a huge step up from my 6s.

    Nice one.

I've had the standard 12 a week short of 5 months now and I absolutely love it.

Invested in the magsafe system, charging and car holders, just getting the itch for a swap to a Mini lately. A relative got one and it looks/feels the business in hand. Not too worried about battery life as always a charger nearby and I'm sure I'd squeeze morning to evening anyway. Might take the plunge as won't be losing too much in the 12 and the minis are heavily discounted at the moment on Adverts.ie

So I sold the 12 and picked up the Mini today! I'll post my impressions after a while.

Size was fine to be honest. Didn't feel cramped at all (I use swiftkey keyboard with the number row on) The battery was OK, definitely notably less than the standard 12. Couldn't put my finger on it. Should have kept the 12.

Yeah I think it’s fantastic. Upgraded from an 8 and love the size and squared edges design. Last big phone I had was the Razor 2, great phone but I just couldn’t get used to the size, too annoying for everyday use.

Would it be worth upgrading to the 12 mini from an XR? would cost €380 plus my XR trade in.
