Haemochromatosis and mortgage approval

    Hi all,

    30yr M
I was diagnosed with haemochromatosis earlier this year, currently undergoing treatment (phlebotomy every two weeks since july) and have gotten my ferritin level down to 600 from 2000 originally.

I am hoping to get on the housing ladder in the next 12 months and was wondering if this would have any effect on my application. Obviously, once my levels are down to a normal level, there is no risk from haemochromatosis (and no damage has been done to my liver thankfully).

Have any boardsies any experience with this.

    Thanks in advance
