Dry stone walls and cattle

I'm worn out lifting stones back on my boundary wall. As soon as I do, the neighbour's cattle come over and have a look at my handiwork and knock it down. An electric fence is not possible as my side is a laneway and he's not bothered as the cattle don't break out, just throw down a few stones to block my way.
Would branches of blackthorn stuck through the top stones fix the problem?

Electric fence with steel posts put through middle of stone wall just running 4 or five inches on top?
