Confused about Short-Time Work Support

I was wondering if anyone here could shed some light on a jobseekers short time work support query I have.

Some background info. I have a full time job, but because of covid myself and my colleagues have been placed on part time and told to apply for STWS if we had enough previous tax contributions. I checked and I had the contributions necessary so I applied and was approved. I was told my personal weekly pay would be €159.00 (out of the potential maximum payment of €203).

Recently I found out that my colleague, who is on exactly the same pay scale as me, same work situation, same age and no dependents or children etc. Is getting a weekly basic pay of €229. Furthermore this colleague only started working in Ireland earlier this year and doesn’t even have the necessary contributions to get STWS but somehow got given approval...

Of course I am delighted he is getting the support, I just really want to understand how these rates are calculated.

So my question 1) why is my weekly allowance so reduced? How was it calculated? And 2) how is it that he has been approved for an amount that is above the maximum allowance available?

Anyone here work in Intreo/ dept of social welfare can shed some light on this for me please?

I don't work for either department but can't understand how either of you are on that amount as it seems to be different rates than what's detailed online, please see below:
