Hotels at Christmas? (Ireland, COVID)

What are people's best guesses for hotels at Christmas time?

Will you be able to have a drink at the hotel bar or will you need food?

Will non-residents be allowed into the hotel?

    Will leisure facilities be open?

Anyone know how this worked in Level 3 or Level 2 before?

    Thanks

Since they ignored the 5 phases before they had posted them out there's no way to know what they will do.

Christmas at the end of January was one proposal.

My best guesses are no, no and no.

Any openings will be limited and restricting numbers is key to that. Last time they initially relaxed the rules on hotels, food was required and leisure centres were closed (though they did open several weeks later).

No and hotels are open for essential workers only

Stayed in a hotel under lever 3 in October, hotel bar & restaurant facilities were open to residents only, no limit on time spent and no requirement to purchase food. Pool was also open for swimming but had to be prebooked for hourly slots, sauna steamroom etc closed.

Leisure centres close in level 4 and 5 but open in L3.

It's up to individual hotels, the cleaning requirements and low occupancy limits mean many hotels kept leisure centres closed, or at least some parts as mentioned above, at lower levels. The we stayed in only the pool was open and you had to pre-book a slot of 30 minutes.
