I’ve seen a few posts with the title but they appear to be about 5 hrs old hence the new post. Mods, please correct me if I’m wrong.
I’m looking to put in a small solid fuel stove in our living room. Something like a 5kw one. My parents have a Stanley Oisin which seems very good to me and a Mulberry, the type I’m not sure of but have attached an image. I would say a 5kw stove judging by size also.
So my main questions are should I be sticking to these or should I be going with highest efficiency. We won’t be connecting it to a boiler, just want it to heat the room itself. Room is about 4m squared. Have an existing place which are in the attached images.
    Budget is 500-700.

    Are you fitting it yourself?

I recommend Inis insert stove. But you wouldn't get one plus install for your budget. Also recommended to get a flexi flue liner sand a competent installer.
Maybe check Donedeal for a 2nd hand one

I would give it a go myself but if it's the type of thing that needs an expert then I''ll get someone to do it for me.

I would strongly recommend a fitter, how you will connect it to chimney, flexi flue, vermiculite, connectors etc.
Be careful with all that, carbon monoxide, smoke, chimney cleaning in the future etc

Thanks. I appreciate the advice. Better safe than sorry I suppose.
