    ......is this the above, in grass. If so, is there an effective weedkiller for it please?

    I see a small piece of speedwell in the pictures but the bigger leaves look more like self heal plant to me. I can't recommend a weedkiller for it since I think it is a nice wild flower to have in the garden and don't try to kill it even when weeding manually. There is a flower from it being produced near the bottom of the lower picture above. I have noticed the bees seem to like it and it has not been very invasive in the lawn with mowing seeming to keep it under control.

    That piece of flower could be the remnants of a clover flower.

    The clover flowers in my own garden are a different colour.
