    Hi
Not sure if this is an android thing or a car safety thing but whenever I'm in my wife's car my phone and hers connects to the car stereo.
When this happens the phones can't get onto the internet. Google maps seems to work ok but no internet, Facebook etc.
    Anyone have this issue?
My wife's phone is a Samsung s10 and mine is a Huawei P20.
    Thanks

Its definitely not an Android thing as I have no issues with data in my car when my phone connects with the car stereo.

    What car do you have

Not being able to access the apps when driving the car isn't an issue. If you are a passenger don't pair with the car.

It might not be the issue in this case but with Android their is many ways to trigger commands/routines when connecting to car Bluetooth so it could be Android related.

The fact that both phones are affected, are you connecting to the Wlan network in the car?
That may be broadcasting but has no connection without a hotspot from your phone possibly.

Next time your in the car, check is the connection on the phone is it Wifi or Bluetooth.

Will check it out. Don't think my wife's phone has ever connected to the wlan of the car, mine did when the car was new just to try it out but don't think it connects automatically.
