Any idea how long it would take a case in the Circuit court to get from issuing proceedings to a hearing?

Well some trials seem to be getting dates for 2022 so it depends on type of case and what it's for?. Covid slowed everything down so there is a backlog to clear.

Not to be unhelpful but the answer is, like most legal answers, "it depends".

It depends on whether there are pre-trial motions to be dealt with like particulars or discovery. It depends what Circuit the case is listed for. It depends on coronavirus. It depends on how many witnesses the case will need and, thus, how long it will take to hear it (short cases get on quicker).

But as a rough guide, anything from 12 months to 5 years.
