Does anyone have experience using Celuplast or similar sheeting in shower enclosures. On paper they look good and seem a good option, but I dont know anyone who has actually used them. Would appreciate any opinions.
    TIA.

fitting them at the moment, have also had them in family bathroom before.tiles are back there now, only because bathroom was gutted. Eurocell in Santry do a 2.4m x 1.2 m sheet for only E50 for 10mm. Way cheaper than the other providers. Or there are the other sheets that are 25cm wide, but look ridiculous IMO. Where is this being installed? like a house or what? way less chance of leak as no grouting and very hygienic, two of the main benefits...

Thank you for reply. I am doing 2 new ground floor ensuites and I dont need floor to ceiling tiles. Just the shower enclosures and some complimentary tiles over the sink. I think the panels would be an easy effective option but friends and my builder seem to have little faith. Im in rural area in west of the country so Dublin not an option.

Have seen them in plenty of installations . Where they usually fall down is the finishing. Try and get as much guidance as you can on trims and finishes. You will need some silicone in a few spots make sure you get the best quality bathroom anti mould silicone you can .

Also have a think about any shelves or racks making holes for screws defies the point of the system and the plastic can be slightly brittle to this type of stress. A shower gem shelf or shelves may be a good idea.v

is it for your own property or a rental? I got chrome finishes, this is what I found. Unless getting them from eurocell or some other places that sell full white hygienic wall panels, which could do the same job. the price of tiling probably wasnt far off... Can you do the install of these yourself? if you can, and you couldnt with the tiling, it could make sense... depends on your budget and where they are going...

Thank you. Those tips are much appreciated. Both those helpful replies mean that I am not ruling them out. No negative response and am keeping an open mind, but have to call it in the next week.

I did pretty much what you're looking to do, but with a bath instead of a shower enclosure. I used an offcut for the basin splash back. I opted for the chrome effect trim for the internal and external corners. I used dow 785n for the top and bottom instead of using trim.

I was very happy with the results and would highly recommend using them.

I attach a few photos to give you an idea.

    Those pics are lovely :)

I know there is much nicer products out there now like those pics show but years ago, 10/15 maybe I used those Grosfillex panels for two showers, back before there was even fancy designs on them, they are bog standard grey marble effect but I have never had a problem with them. Easy to fit if you're neat and tidy, one was upstairs shower enclosure and a stud partition wall as the new en suite was divided off from a storage area, other a previously tiled downstairs shower. No leaks or anything in that time and still looks perfect if a bit dated compared to what's available now!

    I just never liked tiles!

yeah callan, very neat job, thats exactly what I am doing with mine now, just putting them around bath, got same chrome internal corner and ends...

Budget no concern for a shower, the huge tiles that go the full width of the shower, look incredible but $$$
