Using the business impact of COVID19 as justification for reducing compensation

After the two settlements for GDPR breaches were reduced in the UK, for Marriott and BA, after taking the economic impact of the recession into account, I was wondering if the same is likely to happen in relation to compensation claims here.

The BA wasn't a surprise given that it was a British company so it may have been counter productive, plus BREXIT is 'almost complete.

However, I was wondering if there's a chance that claims for any injury picked up during the pandemic will be scaled down as a result of it.
