    Looking for the above.

Anyone got anything lying about that they no longer use. It's for my daughter who is just outgrowing a 24" decathlon hybrid type bike and is really keen to get out into the hills and trails. She is a tiny bit short for her sister's 26" wheel 17" (i think) hard tail so looking for something around 16 or 15 with a low stand-over height.

An older xc bike not being used any more would be great. Let me know if you have anything that might be suitable.

    Cheers

Just giving this a quick bump to see if anyone has anything suitable?

Not sure if its any use but i have a 26" wheel mountain bike with Rigid Fork and V-Brakes. 16" Aluminum Frame/Fork but good standover height as the seat tube extents past the top tube joint a good bit. 27 speed mix of shimano components. Its old but in excellent condition. Has disc tabs on Frame/Fork. I can post pictures if your interested but without shox and discs not sure what you think?

    A few more....

Final few, give me a shout if you need any more information.

As I said its an old bike/model but it was built from parts from the good bikes so was drip fed parts hence the XTR parts and most have little use.

As it stands I would be looking for 250 for it.

    Thanks a mill. Few questions

    What's the cassette gearing?
What size tyres can it take?
    What's the steerer tube size?

Could it take a short travel sus fork?

    What's the cassette gearing?
    Front is 44, 32, 22
Rear is a road cassette and is 11 - 25, capable of much more with the SLX rear mech.

What size tyres can it take?
I've had 2" width on it before but I'd say 2.1" would be max

    What's the steerer tube size?
About 113mm is the head tube on the bike, not sure on exact length of steerer but rough measure is 165mm

Could it take a short travel sus fork?
Yep, it would be designed for a 80/100 travel front fork.

Hey I might have something for you. It's a XS Full Sus Giant.

It's this one only I have upgraded the wheels to Mavic wheels.
    https://flowmountainbike.com/tests/tested-giant-womens-lust-27-5-2/

It's very small people (I'm 5'0) The standover height would be ideal for a young girl and the colours are smashing.

I adore this bike. I just need to move it on as I don't use it enough.

The weight of it, with the upgraded wheels is 12.5kg.

I can post up pics for you.

Looking for 500 Sterling. I'm based in Newry.

Thanks a mill for the replies and extra information. Is the steerer standard 1'1/8 head tube? IE - old stule non tapered etc?

    Thanks

Interesting - probably way more bike than she would need but she could grow into it - she is pretty fearless so might be a good for her!

Could you send me some pics, any service needed? everythign working? How old is it?

    I'll PM you

I have an Islabike Creig 24 that my 11 year old is just growing out of. Plan was to wait until his birthday in Feb to get another larger Creig. I'd prefer him get a hardtail but I think he would really like Caroline's bike if its not too "girly".

The Creig 24 might be more suitable for Oinkely's daughter?? I think I sold you a cnoc 14 many years ago. Creig is well used but would be in much better nick than the Cnoc. I know Caroline's bike will be in great condition.

Certainly don't mean to hijack the sale. But there may be a solution there for all of us if Oinkely likes the Creig. I'd be thinking around €400 for the Creig

Update: I see Oinkely is looking for 26 specifically so unlikely to be interested in the Creig. I still have interet in Carolines bike if not a runner for Oinkely

    Its old style - straight 1 & 1/8"

I'll send you pictures now guys.

I'll be cleaning it up, servicing it and changing grips, and putting 2 new tires on it.
It runs tubeless. It's better that way :)

Thanks a mill. Bike was amazing and in perfect condition and absolutely gutted to let it go, but way too much bike for her at the moment.
