Lidl fire extinguisher - check if bought

Apologies if this doesn't belong here, I figured we have a good few lidl bargain heads on here that might have bought this. Got the 6kg lidl fire extinguisher over the weekend, got it home and noticed it had no pressure in it. The pressure display is fairly small in overall size of the thing and could be missed, which would be potentially fatal in the event of a fire. Give yours a check now if you bought one.

Anyone who buys a powder extinguisher is crazy.

Last thing you want in a smoke filled room is a load of powder in the air affecting your breathing and getting in your eyes

Dry powder extinguishers are effective in more types of fire than any other extinguisher. I'd rather risk having temporary mild irritations like coughing and sore eyes than not being prepared for as many types of fire as possible.

I'm going to close this up now. As this is bargain alerts, its not the place for ongoing discusion on the merits of different fire extinguishers.

If more people have the same issue as the OP, start a new thread in Consumer Issues. (I don't want to move this one so people see it here.)

    Thanks OP for flagging.
