Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Recommend a gamepad for PC

    Hi there

Do a little bit of gaming on PC - mostly though Origin and Xbox subs.
I know near blasphemy for some, but hate gaming on a keyboard and mouse - my PC is a workstation at home during the day and using a different input makes it feel distinct from work and more a console experience.

I'm sure I'm not the only one.

Currently have two Xbox 360 controllers with the PC dongle and they work perfectly, but they are showing their age.

Probably the Xbox one controller is the logical upgrade (Elite way to expensive) once its plug and play alongside the 360 controllers for multiplayer with the kids.

Any other recommendations / suggestions? Dont mind buying used on Adverts / Donedeal or via CeX etc. Ideally <50/eur

    Cheers
    Colm

I'm a fan of https://www.nacongaming.com/en-GB/revolution-unlimited-pro-controller , at least when I need to use a controller :). It's natively a PS4 controller but laid out similarly to the Xbox (which I prefer), and if your game does not support PS4 type directly you can switch it to PC mode with a toggle switch on the bottom. It has much better sensitivity and a better feel than the out-of-box controllers imho.

If you don't mind wires this one is good!

I got it a few weeks ago and both me and the kids really like it!

You are absolutely best off getting the official Xbox One controller, it's less than €50.

It comes with a cable, but it can also connect via bluetooth if you have, or get, an adaptor.

+1 Yeah get the latest official one if you can, it's really good,
and bluetooth 4.0 adapters are really cheap, like €5 on eBay etc if you need one.

The official Microsoft wireless adapter is only useful if you want to use a headset plugged directly into the controller.

I got a few from easysmx(pc and switch), work perfectly. Delivery is a few weeks is the only down side. I prefer them to my 360 ones because they turn off when not used. With the 360 it annoys me having to pull the batteries out to turn them off.

Official xbox one or ps4 controller. If you've used the xbox before, get the new xbox one controller.
