Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Only you can tell. Priming may not be necessary if the new paint is giving you good coverage. A decent key with 120 grit on old paint, and then 180/220 on the first topcoat.

Cheers Dok, i think thats whats missing...just not taking right even with 2 coats..i didnt sand it as it wasnt flaking ...or dirty....ill give that a go.

I went looking for the original tin of paint used by the painter! its being a while!. it was a dulux uno with pigment in a tin. solvent based .might explain why its not taking either. can i still get those solvent based paints i wonder

If you are having trouble try Zinsser coverstain or Fleetwood Bloxx It. Both of these are really good adhesion primers ( oil based) and can be tinted. Just give them a good sand b4 topcoats ( especially if its water based)
