    Hi all,

I need some advice on this. So I am 39 and have a lot of gum bone loss to the point that I have a front part denture for two teeth (1 incisor, 1 canine), now the other incisor has started to loosen abit so my question is should I wait a little longer and hope I can go an get bone grafting done and ultimately save that tooth, any advice would be greatful as I feel very self conscious about this right now.

    Thanks, Francie

What has your dentist advised you to do?

Well he said to prevent infection in that area from happening again it would be for my own good however I didn’t ask about the gum bone grafting if that could possibly save it but will ask this next week when I go for a clean.

    Hey Francie

I'm not sure if you're seeing a general dentist, if so would you visit a periodontist? They specialise in the treatment of gum disease and bone loss.
I have had a positive experience with periodontal treatment, they've managed to help tooth loss but also treated the active gum disease.
I was quite embarrassed about the state of my gums and mouth but they were very kind and nonjudgmental.

This is a serious gum infection that damages the soft tissue and, without treatment, can destroy the bone that supports your teeth. Without wasting your time go with bone grafting treatment ,but before treatment discuss it with your dentist, he/she can better guide you.
