I recently bought a 2015 mondeo titanium version.
The car cut out twice in the M50 about 2 weeks after the sale and as you can imagine, that was dangerous.
I brought it back and the dealer said they brought it to ford for a valve upgrade and software update.

Anyway got it back and today brought it for a spin in the hills(within my 5km) and it cut out again, same issue so obviously ford done f all or it never fixed the problem. Again it was very dangerous and I’m pissed about it now.
The car is going back Monday but want to see if there is anything familiar about this that you would know about.

    Many thanks

Did it cut out or go into limp mode?
I had a diesel Ford before used to go into limp mode, Ford couldn't sort it. Brought it to a diesel mechanic who sorted it.

Just cuts out and starts rolling.
Restarts after turning of the engine.
Seems to happen when trying to go fast.

What was the issue with yours?

Boost actuator solenoid as far as I can remember. Would go into limp mode when I put the foot down to overtake. Once I stopped and restarted, it was OK.
I took mine to 2 Ford dealers, who couldn't find the fix. I had to actually get it into limp mode and get it to the diesel mechanic to show him. Sorted it in an hour.

Previous owner probably got rid of it because he couldn't fix it .you need/ harass even legal action to make dealer to fix it asap . Take no excuses like bring it in next week he keep it for week give back to you same way .take a video of it cut out show mileage on video and date if possible. Download a phone recorder might come in handy. You need to realise people are as*hole when it come to money you need to document everything
