Renault, Nissan and opel vans are identical, just badged differently

Master, nv400 and movano are same van.
Traffic, nv300 and vivaro (I think) are same van.

Then there's smaller ones I forget the name but Nissan is nv200....

They will all be a bit cheaper than Ford transit equivalent and defo cheaper than vw.

We have transits of various sizes, Renault master/traffic and Nissan nv300/400 in work and they're all as good/bad as each other. They do get worked hard and carry big loads over high mileage so cause problems but I don't think any other vans would be any more reliable.

I was told to avoid the transit as this newer model is giving lots of engine trouble

Local DPD lad is driving around in a Renault for a couple of years and he reckons it's not a bad van at all. Gets a lot of stop/start driving as he's on the town run and the only issue so far was a sensor that didn't prevent the van from running.

Local taxi has the same Opel 8 seater for the last 9 years and has over 250k miles on the clock with very little trouble. Same van/bus as the Renault above.

Depending on size needed but I'm driving a little 1.3 diesel Fiat Fiorino and it's been absolutely brilliant since I bought it. Got it with 24k mile and have 74k now. Injectors leaked which cost €50 all in and that's it barring normal things like tyres, service etc...
Its gets mixed use from short town trips to loaded to the max down bog roads and handles it without issue.

Wouldn't think our transits cause any more trouble than the others. We have approx 10 transits and 10 of the nissan/Renault and they are much the same reliability wise. We keep them for 3 years and replace normally before the trouble begins but they'd generally have 200k kms on them at that stage.

I've been looking at second hand vans now for a few months. Driven a wide range of makes and models. All in all my favourite was the 2015 Traffic 1.6dci. Drove like a car. The transit 2014 is lovely also but as I'm taxing privately it makes no sense to spend 950e annually on road tax alone. The transporters I drove a 2012 and 2013 lwb I found the driving position horrible. So in my little world its between a 2013/14 Citreon Dispatch Enterprise with parking sensors/ac/bt or if I come across a reasonably priced 141/142 Trafic Vivaro Nv400. If money wasn't an issue it'd be a new model transit. Hope this helps
