One family payment

Does anyone know if I would be entitled to the one family payment? I am expecting a baby and will be parenting alone. My gross salary is 37k so 711 euro weekly. I read that the weekly threshold of 425 euro will be gone from April 2021. I don't have savings to be assessed and might cut down to 4 days once baby arrives. Any information or advice please?

You'll be entitled to apply for it, however, with weekly earnings of €711 p/w I suspect that you're not going to pass the means test unless you have very high allowable overheads.

Why not have a stab at the worksheet linked, remembering that the threshold will no longer apply, and see how you fare out.

Then do it again on the basis of being paid 80% of your current salary.
