What's Slane like to live in? Anybody on here do the commute with Collins coaches? WFH, but of course that could all change.

Have researched a bit and it looks like the broadband might not be that good there?

Anyone know anything about the river view estate?

    Cheers

i dont live in slane but travel through it alot
would be a lovely place to live imho. nice cafe, farmers market once a week, slane castle, few pubs and one restaurant i think. you are also not far from collon and ardee which would have more on offer
your not far from Dublin (good road to Dublin also) and also between Navan and Drogheda which shouls have a lot on offer
Collins coaches had an excellent service pre covid and its still running now but on a much reduced basis.

Great spot. High quality of life. Hard to get accommodation in the village but if you get that sorted you have everything you need. Excellent restaurant (inside out), good cafe (George's), short drive to navan or Drogheda for larger shopping.

Collins service into Dublin is consistent and relatively quick all things considered.

WiFi is not bad (eir). Have been WFH for awhile now and no major issues

Nice village to live in and quality of life should only go up if the bypass ever goes ahead. Well serviced, nice bakery with George’s, great restaurant In and Out and the take away at the garage is great also. Right in between navan and Drogheda and 10 minutes you’re on the motorway.

Riverview is a well built quiet estate, used to be quite a few rentals but very high percentage of owner occupiers at the minute. Energy efficient houses and lots of green space and just a quick walk up the hill to catch Collins coaches to town. Lovely walks down by the canal and river towards the castle and only 10 minutes away from oldbridge.
In a normal year, ( remember those?) you’d have the hotel in operation and a few other local restaurants so a good bit of variety.
