Check your nearest mast location and see if you can get a better signal with a different network, https://siteviewer.comreg.ie/#location/53.15289079999999/-6.7777003/Athgarvan%2C%20County%20Kildare%2C%20Ireland

Looks like EIR is the closest mast.

With Vodafone and just signed new contract so moving to another provider is not an option at the moment!

If you are within your 14 day cooling off period you can cancel, otherwise your stuck with a bad signal unless you want to get an aerial https://www.satellitetv.ie/4g-lte-external-aerial and whatever else you need to go with it.

Vodafone do wifi calling, allows your calls over your broadband.

Vodafone is really unreliable around Kildare - I have no Vodafone coverage whatsoever at home yet full 3G and 4G on both Eir and 3. Out and about they were also very patchy, particularly around townlands and villages whereas 3 and Eir are far better.

They are no longer the supreme leaders in ubiquitous coverage they once were.

If you want to move away, act quick! You have 14 days cooling off period to cancel. They do have a 30 day network satisfaction guarantee but this is for new customers only, not upgrading ones so wouldn't apply in your case.

While they do offer wifi calling as mentioned, it won't carry SMS and you have to be migrated onto their new billing platform also (not something you or frontline customer support can influence to move along).

Thanks for the info. Looks like the aerial is my only solution. Hopefully they actually work.

Going to have to look into getting an aerial as another poster suggested.

That aerial is for use on a fixed device. You effectively need a repeater; one that does the correct frequency bands and meets the legal requirements in Ireland. This page seems accurate enough but you will note they are rather pricey!

Some cheapy off wish.com etc may work but absolutely won't be legal to use

The "SureSignal" device they sold required wired broadband, and they don't sell them anymore either.

I presume they would also install the device if needed?
