Form 11 Relief on RAC lump sum this year not calculating

    Help needed!

I pay monthly into an RAC. Just made a €10k contribution in 2020 with a view to reducing tax payable for 2019 by €4k.

I have entered the €10k in the "Amount paid between 1/1/2020 .....for which relief is being claimed in 2019". However is is not reducing by bill by €4k.

On the calculation self assessment sheet I see the 2018 and 2019 contributions are added up in the "Total amount of RAC ....relief claimed in 2019". However in the calculation-income tax panel only the 2018 figure is being deducted as "Expenses in Employment".

Do I need to enter the €10k somewhere else also.

    Thanks in advance. Head melted.

Haven't started mine for this year yet. But I have a memory of having difficult with exactly this last year - there's a Calculate button somewhere that you have to click, perhaps.

    Thanks Mrs O'B.

If in the Pensions relief calculation "Section A – Maximum amount of pension relief available on occupational income" I put under "Superannuation Contributions/AVC where not deducted by employer" a figure equal to the 2019 constributions + lump sum 2020 it works out but I'm not sure if this is correct.
