I own an apt in a student village. The problem is there was not enough students to fill the village two years ago, and now there is not enough students to fill a third of the apts, hence some of the apts have been rented to non students. Of course the ten year tax incentive to keep only students has elapsed. Hence we are in no mans land ...the apts are no longer student apts but the planning permission attached to all leases state the apts can only be used for students during the year and tourists during the summer breaks. Now I just need to know how the planning permission can be amended ie can I make the application myself and wait for a rejection from other apt owners or should I try to contact other apt owners and join forces with them....Of course if planning permission restrictions can be lifted then the value of the apts should increase
