    This, what looks to be part of a little skull almost went up through my foot. Looks like very sharp teeth that face backwards.

    Any ideas?

    That was my first thought, but a quick google search, it doesn't seem to be a match. Seldom i get totally stumped with something like this. Maybe its something else, that just looks like animal bone parts. The teeth (if they are teeth) are needle sharp.

    The odd thing is that the "teeth" look to be an integral part of the "jaw" part and not separate.

    Yes, looks more like a fish jaw dropped by a passing bird.

    You might be onto something. It seems to be cartilage to me. Yes, something fishy maybe
