    Evening everyone,

    We are looking at renting a 2500sqf office unit and converting it into a gym, we would need to apply for the unit's usage to be changed.

    Does anyone have experience with this or know how long it takes to complete.

    Planning application process is 8 weeks from the date of lodgement.
    Realistically it’s a 4 month process allowing for time before hand to get plans drawn up, application organised and lodged. Then appeal period at the end and commencement notice.

    But, you will also need a fire cert and disabled access cert. these are separate statutory applications.
