Hi all, any ideas for a project I have to do, it is based on an innovative idea for the construction sector, you have to come up with a future item, app , tool etc that would be useful in the industry, anything I think of there is already a version of it out there thanks

Solve the covid related ventilation problem in schools for the coming winter.
    You would get the Nobel.

    Have you any site experience?

I often heard the foreman on sites asking about putting starting motors on shovels to help move the job along.
    You're welcome.

Think about why almost nobody catches COVID on an airplane. This was reported way back in the spring in the superspreader studies and is now being used by the airline industry as advertising.

    I reckon it's because

    (a) everyone is facing the same way and has a seat back in front of them
    (b) people wear maks
    (c) no raised voices or singing
    (d) downwards ventilation

The obvious solution is to convert all the idle 737 Maxs into classrooms, since they're a bloody terrible airframe.

Seriously though, many of those factors can be recreated in a classroom with seating and discipline, and it might be possible to recreate the same ventilation patterns with a bit of inventiveness.

Pre-chased concrete blocks for cabling and plumbing.
Blocks with either a full chase down the centre
or 1/2 chase down one end(used in pairs) to form a continuous chase..
To be used by blocklayer where cabling is specified in drawings.

Construction drawings are 2D but architects are now drawings in 3D Revit.
I want an app where I can walk around a building site and as I walk around on my phone it shows me the computer rendered version of where I am and what I'm looking at. I can then see if anything is missing or in the wrong place.
If I click on something on the screen the technical information and details will pop up. Eg that door should open the opposite direction and should have a pull handle instead of lever handle and is 30 minutes fire rated. It will list size, paint colour, type of timber, etc.
If I had a report button it would allow me to select the item that's wrong, photo existing, have the option to add a comment and then add it to a cloud based system as a snag the builder and client could get a notification, see in real-time and comment on. It should be smart enough to provide relevant options depending on what I click on. Eg for the door it's catching or the door closer doesn't close the door fully but if I select a socket it could give options like not level, poor paint or plaster around it, not working, wrong type, etc.

Thanks that’s after getting me thinking , never even thought of the way ventilation will help on an aero plane,

Sounds like a friends company he set up recently. Ilimex. Filters air into a kind of light, and it comes out 99.99% clean. Only heard of it a week ago.
