WTD - seatposts

looking for a 27.2mm black seatpost, and a 27.2mm silver seatpost, should anyone have any knocking around.
based beside DCU - can really only consider reasonably local for collection.

8valve might have you sorted, but I was just posting to say that the seat post on my Muddy Fox rebuild is about 7cm too short (really the frame is probably too small). You are welcome to the one thats on the bike free and gratis, if it would suit, I just have to find a replacement .

Im sure theres a picture of it on the Today I did Something thread

cheers - i have/had need for two, got a nice black one from De Bhál last night, but had been half planning that if i did get a worn black anodised one i could sand it and polish to the bare aluminium.

the main reason i was looking for a silver one was for the falcon rebuild - there's one on it which could be rescued, except it's just the basic tube design (where the clamp is in the saddle so the saddle clamps onto the seatpost, not vice versa) and any adapters i've seen to take a rail saddle look cheap and nasty. and i've a brooks i want to put on it.

I'm really sorry, I'll have to withdraw my offer, at least to mb. I was full sure the seat post was 27.2

So sure I measured it twice. Alas it's 26.2

I'm still happy to send to 8valve if it's of any use

Hmm, I know where no. 7 is and I've a fair idea where three more are, but couldn't tell you what numbers they are. Would you believe me if I told you they were one of a limited run of 20, and they're now worth in the region of €18,000?

I picked an electronic vernier calipers out of the bin at the pharma plant i used to work in.

A maintenance lad said it was fu(ked, and he had ordered a replacement, at over €100!

I brought it home and put a new watch battery in it....working perfectly.

Typifies the culture of throwing money around/away in that industry, due to the humongous profits being made.

Anyhoo...we have gone slightly off topic; if any of you need a seatpost, let me know sizes and contact/postage details. I have plenty of sizes/lengths.

P.S. If anyone had a spare seat collar suitable for use with this seatpost, it would also be amazing.

Since this seems to be the place for seatposts.....
I just recieved a carbon seatpost that I bought for my Tommasini.
Straight away I know its not gonna work as its putting my saddle way to far forward.
So its effectivley unused.

If anyone is interested in a d-shaped carbon seat post I have one. (27.2mm wide, 330mm long, 0 setback). Taken off a new bike as needed a 0 setback. Only thing will only work on 2019 onwards Cannondale SuperSix Evo or Caad 13.
