    Hey guys
When I put the key into the ignition its telling me the battery in the key fob is running low,
Is there any where that would replace for me that's still open or is it best just to go to a Skoda dealer as its an Octavia

    oh im in north Dublin

It should be fairly easy to replace if it's a button cell battery, they are designed to be replaced, if its not you might need an auto electrician or main dealer. Check your owners manual or Google to see what type it is, and how to replace it if its a button cell.

If it's a coin battery then supermarkets normally sell them.

YouTube the make and model of your car, key battery replacement. And pick up the correct size battery in a supermarket or pharmacy.

You probably need a 2025 button battery

Most jewelers, locksmiths, or even batteries from a £1 shop. Just be very careful opening the key as you cab easily break plastic clips. Ideally check you have a spare working key before attempting any DIY repair. As said on YouTube there us typically videos. Try to get the new battery first before opening key as you don't want to have to open and close it twice

Pop the key blade out,the put a key or flat screwdriver in the groove and lever off the plastic panel(the back).
On my octavia it's a Cr 2025 flat battery.
